Hastings Racecourse has taken another step forward, with senior riders providing encouraging feedback following jumpouts at the venue on Monday in the lead-up to the first meeting of the season on August 22, 2026.
Racing has successfully returned to Hawke’s Bay today following the completion of the Hastings track recambering project and final return-to-racing protocols.
Progress continues to be made on the Hawke’s Bay track recambering project, with a recent site walk confirming the work completed to date is tracking well.
This evening, New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing and Hawke’s Bay Racing Inc. presented to Club Members on proposals for the future of racing in the Hawke’s Bay region.
