The General Trust fund was established to provide financial support to registered licensees when they become injured as a result of an accident while carrying out duties in their capacity as a licensee or suffer a serious illness.
The fund is administered by NZTR and Governed by a Board of Trustees under the Rules of Racing, and the General Trust Fund Policy which can also be found on the Rules, Directives and Policies Page.
Applications are required to fall within the criteria or purpose of the fund are considered on a case-by-case basis by the Trustees. All applications to the fund are to be addressed to the Trustees for their consideration within 30 days of the accident or serious illness being diagnosed.
