New Zealand’s 2026 jumps racing season has drawn to a close after 61 races across seven venues, showcasing the horses, jockeys, trainers and clubs who continue to make this a distinctive part of Thoroughbred racing in New Zealand.
Following a successful debut in 2025, Racing Te Aroha’s popular ‘A Grand from The Grand’ jockeys’ competition will return for the second running of the Great New Zealand Jumps Carnival on Friday 18 and Sunday 20 September.
New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing (NZTR) has announced several enhancements to the prizemoney for Jumps Racing, including immediate increases covering the remainder of the current season (May to July 2025), as well as the full 2025-26 racing calendar.
