New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing has issued a new Strangles Directive, effective from Thursday 10 September 2026, following a review of the temporary measures introduced during the current outbreak.
There have been no new confirmed Strangles properties since the last update on 9 July. Updated interisland travel requirements are now in place to help minimise the risk of disease spread.
