The 31st Annual South Island Thoroughbred Racing Awards winners have been announced for the 2025/26 season.

The Christchurch Casino 31st South Island Racing Awards for the 2025/26 Racing Season were presented at a function at Riccarton Park Racecourse on Friday 11 September 2026.

The awards were made on behalf of the Southern Region Racing Clubs supported by the Canterbury Westland Racing Owners Association and Canterbury Marlborough Westland Otago Thoroughbred Breeders.

Listed below are the winners in each category:

2025/26 SOUTH ISLAND HORSE OF THE YEAR: Inflamed
OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION TO RACING: Chris Johnson
