Whether you’re on-course or watching from afar, this year’s running of the Power Farming Hawke’s Bay Cup provides you the chance to support the rural community of the East Coast with their recovery from the devastating impacts of Cyclone Gabrielle.
Hawke’s Bay Racing has partnered with the East Coast Rural Support Trust (ECRST) to raise funds for the rural community of the East Coast to support their cyclone recovery. ECRST is a charitable trust that is set up to work with the rural community when times get tough. Their services are free and confidential and can include anything from a chat over a cuppa, to assistance with farm tasks or expert counselling.
There are two ways you can show your support:
1. By attending the Power Farming Hawke’s Bay Cup at Hastings Racecourse, 15th April! A general admission ticket will set you back $15, with $5 from each ticket sold being donated to the East Coast Rural Support Trust.
2. By purchasing a virtual ticket. The perfect option for those who are unable to attend the raceday, but would like to support! Virtual tickets are $5 and 100% of tickets sales will go to the ECRST.
The Hawke’s Bay Cup is one of New Zealand’s oldest racing events and has historically drawn a large crowd of locals of all ages. From a kids zone and picnic area for families, to fabulous hospitality options and an after-the-last concert, there really is something for everyone come 15 April.
Hawke’s Bay Racing have set themselves an ambitious goal of selling 50,000 virtual tickets – that would mean an incredible $250,000 raised for their rural community! Get behind the club and this fantastic cause, purchase your virtual ticket(s) or raceday tickets via hawkesbayracing.co.nz.
