New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing acknowledges the tragic passing of Andrew Leadbeater or ‘Ledge” as he was more commonly known. NZTR offers our sincerest condolences to everyone affected by this sudden loss.

Working alongside NZTR, OnTrack CEO Victoria McArthur and her team are available to support Leadbeater’s family, friends, and any other affected participants following their loss. 

OnTrack has been developed to strengthen the mental health of our industry participants and is here to promote mental wellbeing in our industry and assist those who are in need.

“OnTrack is our industry wide mental health and suicide prevention organisation. We are part of the racing family," McArthur said.

“We were at Te Rapa yesterday and met with the barrier crew and some of the jockeys. We talked about navigating this challenging time and offered some options that can help.” She said.

"Grief can look different for everyone - Whatever you feel, is normal in an abnormal situation. We are here to help.”
