Funding for sponsorship requests is provided through The 1% Welfare Levy and supports a wide range of OTTB events, initiatives, and opportunities across NZ.
To help us fairly review all requests, sponsorship applications must be submitted through the links below. Applications are assessed twice each year, with limited sponsorship opportunities available each season.
Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee sponsorship, including for events that may have received support previously.
We encourage applicants to provide as much detail as possible so we can properly consider each request.
Gold Tier sponsorship is aimed at major events and established programmes that deliver strong outcomes for OTTBs. It supports competitions, series, and multi-day events with good participation and dedicated OTTB opportunities. Partnerships at this level offer high visibility and are expected to show clear value and impact.
Silver Tier sponsorship supports mid-sized events and programmes that actively include and develop opportunities for OTTBs. It is suited to clinics, competitions, and regional events with growing participation and a developing OTTB focus. Partnerships at this level provide targeted support and visibility, recognising initiatives that show a clear commitment to OTTB inclusion and progression.
Bronze Tier sponsorship supports grassroots and community events that provide opportunities for OTTBs. It is suited to smaller competitions and local initiatives with entry-level participation and visibility. Partnerships at this level focus on accessibility and awareness, helping to encourage OTTB involvement and build confidence within the wider community.
We accept sponsorship applications twice per year:
Round 1: Opens 1 June – Closes 31 July
(For events held between 1 August 2026 – 31 January 2027)
Round 2: Opens 1 October – Closes 30 November
(For events held between 1 February 2027 – 31 July 2027)
Applications must be submitted at least 8 weeks prior to the event date. Late applications may not be considered.
